Dr. Rajesh Shinde has a vast experience of more than 15 yrs & is a well-known cancer surgeon practicing in Mumbai.

He completed his general surgery from Bombay Hospital, Mumbai. He went on to do M. Ch, Surgical Oncology, from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, India.

He is experienced in various departments of surgical oncology i.e Head Neck Oncology, Breast Oncology, Thoracic & GI oncology, Bone & soft tissue services & Uro-oncology.

During this training, he had an opportunity to learn the finer aspects of the surgical oncology from best of the mentors in TATA Memorial Hospital. He performed all major and minor cancer surgeries as a Consultant Surgical.

In his vast clinical experience he has authored many research publications. He is part of various prestigious organisations like ASCO, ACRSI etc.and has received various awards for his work as a surgical oncologist.

Wide exposure and experience in the following subspecialties

  • Gastrointestinal - Subtotal & total radical gastrectomy, Classical Whipple’s procedure/Pancreas preserving pancreatoduodenectomy, Radical and revision cholecystectomy, Colectomies, Anterior and low anterior resection, Inter-sphincteric resections (sphincter preserving procedures), Abdomino-perineal resections, resection of retroperitoneal sarcomas. Assisted and performed minimally invasive colorectal resections and exposure to robotic colorectal resections.
  • Thoracic – Trans-thoracic esophagectomy, Transhiatal esophagectomy, Mediastinoscopy, Lung resections (lobectomy/pneumonectomy), pulmonary metastasectomy, Chest wall tumor resections, Median sternotomy, Mediastinal tumor excision. Good exposure to VATS esophageal and lung resections, pulmonary metastasectomy as well as Robotic esophagectomy, lobectomy & thymectomy.
  • Breast – Modified radical mastectomy, Breast conservation surgery, Type I Oncoplasties, Sentinel lymph node biopsy, Supraclavicular & internal mammary lymph node dissection.
  • Head & neck – Resections for oral cavity cancers, Commando procedures, Local and regional flap reconstructions, Maxillectomy, Radical & modified radical neck dissections, Thyroidectomy, Laryngectomy, Salivary gland tumours.
